MD PHD
With a background as a Medical Doctor and researcher, I bring both scientific expertise and a deep passion for diving to Area9 Mastery Diving Research Center. My medical career began at the University of Copenhagen, where I earned my MD in 2002 and later pursued advanced degrees, including a DMSci and a PhD. Alongside my role at Boston Children’s Hospital and the University of Copenhagen, diving has remained a constant passion.
As an SSI dive instructor and GUE diver (Tech 1, DPV), I find joy in exploring both the limits of technical diving and the calm immersion of underwater worlds. When I’m not diving, I make sure to swim at least 5 kilometers daily—it keeps me energized and grounded. This dedication to diving and fitness is part of what I bring to my instruction, instilling a sense of discipline, safety, and enthusiasm in those I teach.
Today, I am thrilled to share my knowledge and skills with others at Area9, helping divers refine their techniques and discover new depths in both their training and exploration.
