Mr G.
General Manager
I was born in Colombia and have been an active diver for over 20 years. My dedication to teaching and education began in 2004 after I completed my degree in ecology. That same year, I embarked on my technical diving journey, becoming one of Colombia’s first technical divers. In 2007, I joined Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) and moved to Bonaire, where I led the successful development of Bonaire TeK and Operation CCR events, positioning the island as a global destination for technical diving. Although initially known as a recreational diving paradise, Bonaire has since proven its merit as a premier tech diving hub, offering ideal training conditions and exploration opportunities.
In my time on Bonaire, I’ve explored, documented, and researched the island's deep wrecks, caves, and deep-water reef systems, leading dives that uncovered thrilling discoveries for technical diving, many of which remain under study and exploration.
My mission is to promote high-quality education and support while pushing the boundaries of exploration in Bonaire’s remote underwater regions. Area9 Mastery Diving Research Center represents a dream come true and a powerful tool in uncovering more of Bonaire's underwater secrets, preserving its place on the technical diving map.
